Gray Breidenbach: gas prices spike in shouthwest

gray breidenbach: A leak earlier this month in Alabama forced the closure of the pipeline, which runs from Houston to New York and carries gas to much of the Southeast and East Coast. Some southerners are having much trouble to find gas and keep their cars moving. Some service stations in metro Atlanta and north Georgia had run out of gas on Sunday night. At others that still had gas, cars were lined up -- even for premium. Gas prices have peaked an average of 21 cents in Georgia and 13 in Tennessee.

Summary: the spike in gas prices are detrimental to our society because everything nowadays is running on a form of gas, the rising prices are capable of shutting down America. However we have the capability to get gasses from other places and keep this booming country on its feet.

  1. This situation is very alarming due to that majority of this country relies on gas to get around like you stated. This makes me wonder when we are going to come up with a new efficient substitute for gasoline so that if a problem like this arises again we will have a solution.
