After a Muslim family was escorted off of an America Airlines flight, they are demanding an apology from the airline for racial stereotyping. The entire dispute began over a booster seat but escalated to them being removed from the flight and forced to take a later one. Im sure the situation wasn't entirely caused by racial prejudice but it definitely played a factor.
This situation is similar to the idea but separate but equal and segregation during the mid 20th century.
Racial stereotyping has been around for centuries and this case is no different, but when are we going to stop hearing about a few dumb individuals rather than the hundreds of other non ignorant airline workers. Although it is an issue that must be addressed, on the other hand, it's important to not assume one's prejudice based on other ignorant individuals.
