Summary: A flash flood watch is in effect in Houston tonight as families are urged to stay safe and off the roads. Because of the extreme waters, five casualties have been reported. Most victims were caught trapped or submerged in high/dangerous waters. Many hospitals, consequently, have been forced to shut down for safety precautions as well as the evacuation of some apartment buildings.
Analysis: It's incredible how such dramatic turns of events in our lives are so out of our control. It's hard to know what to do in situations like these, where there is little preparation that could have prevented certain things from happening. I suppose it is just important now for families to stay in their homes and stay informed on the situation.
