10 year-old Black girl's BeeSweet Lemonade Lands $60,000 Shark Tank Deal

Summary: Mikaila Ulmer is only 10 years old, but she’s already excelling at negotiating business deals with her company BeeSweet Lemonade. Mikaila, who appears on ABC’s Shark Tank, accepted an offer of $60,000 for a 25 percent stake in her company from mogul and FUBU CEO Daymond John. Mikaila won John over with her business expertise and passion. Mikaila, who started BeeSweet Lemonade when she was 4, got the idea after being stung by two bees in one week and then researching the importance of honeybees in the ecosystem. Ulmer’s grandmother later gave her a cookbook, and that’s where she learned how to make flaxseed lemonade.
Analysis: Representation Matters!!! I am so proud of her, breaking the standard of young entrepreneurs, who are typically white. This is so refreshing to see the success she has accomplished and how her race didn't hold her back from reaching her goals for once. congrats to this lovely young black girl who is making a name for herself in entrepreneurship. I believe we can have many more kids like Mikailia , if we make those opportunities available for kids of color, trust me there are so many undiscovered talented kids of color but they do not have the resources or opportunities available. If we could change that, there will be a chain reaction. Representation matters!!!!
