Terror in Turkey Bella Morris, 5th Period Blog #7

       An explosion this past week has hit military vehicles at an intersection in the Turkish capital of Ankara  officials said,  the military has called a terror attack. A total of twenty-eight people were killed and 61 were injured, according to Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus. The explosion hit three military vehicles even though the vehicles were stopped at a traffic light. Authorities believe a bomb vehicle caused the explosion. Avideo has aired on CNN Turk showing the large flames reaching toward the sky from an area on the ground. As of right now no group has claimed responsibility.
       "Our determination to respond in kind against such attacks against our unity and future from outside and inside is even more strengthened through such attacks," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a statement. "Turkey will not hesitate to use its right to self-defense anytime, anywhere, and in all situations." This relates back to historical terriost attacks such as 9/11 and Paris, France.
