Deadpool Paul Radke (5th)

Summary- Marvel's R rated antihero smash "Deadpool" continues to dominate movie theaters earning a massive 235.4 million in the first two weeks. This is one of the only R-rated movies that Marvel has ever made and it has smashed records for the R-rated movie category.

Analysis- I want to first start off by saying that Deadpool is one of the best movies i have ever seen and I would definitely consider seeing it again on the big screens. But for it to be grossing this much money for an R-rated movie is absolutely amazing. The restriction for R-rated movies is that you have to be accompanied by an adult when seeing the movie which is kinda stupid in my option. (permission should be fine). It still has not hit the top of the top grossing movies but it has surpassed movies such as the first Matrix, 50 Shades Of Grey and others. This movie was a masterpiece and I think at this rate of growing, it will be at the top in no time.

  1. I usually hate comic book movies (whoa there Avengers fans) but Deadpool surprised me. I don't think it would have made as big a splash if it was PG-13 like the many, many, many other comic book movies out there. I think Marvel tried to make a point of Deadpool being especially R, and I totally applaud them for that.
