Starbucks announced that in April instead of getting once star per visit costumers who are member of the rewards system will get two stars for every dollar spent. Along with that they changed the gold status so that the requirements are higher in order to get free items/redeem stars. It penalizes the people who spend less than about two or three dollars per visit and benefits anyone who spends at least five dollars per visit. So it caused vey mixed emotions amount the crowd of regular costumers.
It seems like people are really making a hoopla about this. As a person who goes to Starbucks but not a member of the rewards system this doesn't affect me in any way. It just seems like Starbucks is getting so popular that they are either trying to make more money or further benefit their customers to lure them/more in.

It is upsetting because some drinks are only $3 and to be penalized for spending money is a little bit confusing for me!!
