Yesterday in Chicago two police officers were called to the scene of a drive by shooting. When they arrived they are quoted saying "there had to be about a hundred people out on the street, screaming, crying, people yelling." One victim of the shooting was an 11 month old boy named Princeton who was bleeding heavily. The officers realized an ambulance would not make it in time and broke protocol to drive him to the hospital. They called ahead and the staff were able to save the boys life. The police officers are not being punished for breaking the rules but are being honored for saving Princeton's life.
This is such an amazing story that shows how selfless the officers were to save the boy even though they risked loosing their job.
