One for the Cheerleaders?- Tea Devereaux
A group of high school cheerleaders in Texas made banners with bible verse written on them. They then went under attack from an atheist group claiming it was wrong to use bible references. The atheist group based their argument on the grounds of a previous school rule that claimed that banners could not quote the bible. The cheerleader disagreed with this claim and took it to court. They claimed they were being stripped of their freedoms o religion and speech. The court ruled in favor of the cheer leaders.

I agree with the court's ruling in favor of the cheerleaders. I think that it would be a violation of the constitution to not allow them to quote their religion. They have the right to say and write what they wish and that right is protected under the constitution. I don't feel that there is any reason that the cheerleaders should not be allowed to express the words of the bible.
