Apple vs. Obama Administration and FBI - Ava Cosentino

Summary:
The FBI and Obama Administration are begging for Apple's help. They are willing to pay/do whatever it takes to get Apple on board to create a new version of ios that will allow them to hack into one of the phones of the San Bernardino shoot out suspects. Apple is currently refusing to do so due to the fact that this will then create a "back door" that will allow any iPhone to be hacked into.

Analysis:
Conflicted, I agree with both sides of the argument. I do believe that the phone should be hacked into to be able to further this shootings case and investigation, however, the fact that this will create a backdoor for any hacker to use it very worrisome, that is if the software lands in the wrong hands, which it most likely will. The FBI and Obama Administration claim that this software will only used to be able to hack into this one phone, however, it is very obvious that that is highly unlikely considering how valuable the software would be to any hacker. Also, if landed in the wrong hands this software could also aid in future terrorist attacks and shootouts. Though I see the points in both sides, I do believe that this should not be done, just because of the risks it will bring.
