"Texas deputy killed 'execution-style' while fueling patrol car, authorities say"
Darren H. Goforth an Caucasian (white) deputy was at the gas station fueling his car on friday evening, when an Africa American (black) man shot the 47 year old in the back. As the deputy fell towards the ground in great pain the suspect stood over Mr. Goforth and constantly started shooting. The suspect then fled away in a red Ford Ranger. Sadly, Mr. Goforth did not survive the bullet wounds. This tragic event took place in Houston Texas. The suspect was unidentified, but officers are looking at the surveillance cameras in search of the suspect who has done this cold blooded act. The biggest question is why? Why did the suspect kill the deputy? Was it because of hate and anger?
In my humble opinion I believe that killing one another doesn't solve anything it just makes the situation worst and causes more deaths. Why must we fight one another violence doesn't solve anything just more problems and deaths...what happened to living in peace? If this caught your attention please comment below your opinion about the tragic shooting of Mr. Goforth, and how the problem should be resolved. What consequences should the suspect face for the death of Mr. Goforth.

I think that you are right when saying that more killings don't solve anything. No wrongs are going to be righted.
ReplyDeleteI find it so scary to think that at any given moment someone can be attacked like this. What could possibly drive anyone to commit such a random act of violence?
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrible tragedy. If and when the suspect is caught, I feel that justice should be served. But I also think that this justice should not come in the form of the death sentence because, as you said, violence doesn't solve anything. So even though the murderer's violence did not solve anything, violence on the part of our government in the form of an execution wouldn't solve anything either. There are plenty of other ways for justice to be served
ReplyDeleteI also believe this is a heinous crime, but it is strange in the fact that it was a black man killing the police. As we all have heard the police have usually been on the other end of those bullets. This could have been a hate crime, but what people need to understand is that we aren't solving anything with more violence (like what everyone has said above), if people would just step back and realize that not only did you just ruin your life but you took someone else's life who may have done nothing to wrong you.
