Juliet Nelson, Donald Trump Will Get Trampled On By The "Minorities" if He Isn't Careful

The article that I choose to read was about Donald Trump, the GOP candidate, and Jorge Ramos, a Latino news reporter. The article begins by introducing the well-known incident between Ramos and Trump that happened during a press conference not too long ago. Donald Trump refused to answer any of Jorge’s questions regarding Trump’s ideas on immigration and had Jorge thrown out of the Conference room. The article continues by explaining why that was a bad way to handle the situation and how that can severely damage Trump’s numbers in the polls because no Latino would want to vote for him after he did that. It explains how recently Latinos voters are more likely to go vote if they listen to Spanish-language news more than English news. Since Jorge is such an influential individual in the Latino community, people will listen to what he has to say, and my guess is that it isn’t nice. Finally it ends by stating the possibility that Latin may start becoming influential to the election even earlier this year.

The Author of the article I read, which was titled The ‘Jorge Ramos Effect’ Could Hurt Donald Trump  , is named Sergio I. Garcia-Rios. From his name I can tell that he has some sort of Latino ties in his family, which is probably why he wrote this article. It comes from the point of view of a Latin or Latin American man who feels personally involved in the issue of Donald Trump and immigration. It was published on the 28th of August by TIME Magazine so it’s a very recent and reputable source. I agree with everything the author says because I had already formed an opinion about Trump and how the situation unfolded. I thought that Trump was being an idiot and would regret treating Jorge Ramos that way and because Jorge is so popular in the Hispanic and Latino community he could very heavily influence the Latino voting during the election. This article was most likely written for Latinos and people who are connected to the Latino community for the purpose of influencing who they should vote for in the election. It’s important for people to be aware of the election candidates and their views so that they can determine whom they want to vote for, and hopefully whom they actually end up voting for.

  1. I agree with you about Trump acting like an idiot. He should not have treated Jorge Ramos that way. If he knew anything about Jorge, which it sounds like he didn't, he would know not to treat him like that considering the influence Jorge has on the latino community.

With the Hispanic community being the biggest minority in the U.S., Trump should definitely be more careful if he wants to win the election. His blatant racism shows that he is not the right candidate.
