Volunteers search for Oregon boy Kyron Horman, missing since 2010

Portland area. 7 year old Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4, 2010, however his mother, Desiree Young has not given up hope.
This past weekend his, over 100 volunteers, and ten search dogs went on the hunt to find evidence pertaining to Kyron's whereabouts. He was last seen by his stepmother, who is the main suspect in the case, while she was dropping him off at school that June morning.
Police say this weekend's search was a successful one. Multnimah County Sheriff says they may have found sustainable evidence that could lead to Kyron's whereabouts.
This story, though not national headlines, gave me a bit of hope in community. It's been 3 years since Kyron has been missing and locals have not given up. I truly hope they can find Kyron healthy and alive.

  1. If he has been missing for three years, why did they have a huge search this weekend? Why not three years ago when the trial was still fresh!

  2. I think it's great that everyone still has hope but I also agree that the searches probably would have been more beneficial if they were done closer to when the boy disappeared. I'm assuming that they did lots of searches when he first went missing, but it's interesting that people would randomly decide to go on another search now. I hope they find him soon!

  3. This is a great inspirational article. It gives us that sense of American hope we all like to have. It kind of reminds me of a Lifetime Movie...is that bad? O.o
