Jonathan Ferrell, a former Florida A&M University
football player, was shot multiple times by a police over and early Saturday morning, officially dead. Ferrell apparently had just survived a horrible car accident and was walking along the road looking for help. Crashing his car in the woods, about a half mile away from the closest home, Ferrell walked to find help. The first house he arrived at called the police on him because the lady believed he was trying to break into her house. Sooner than later, Ferrell found himself being surrounded by two policemen, while one tried, unsuccessfully, to use his taser against Ferrell. Ferrell then ran towards the officer, and the second officer then proceed to shoot Jonathan Ferrell.
The police officer, however, turned themselves into the police himself, and him and his partner are now on paid administrative release.
Its so interesting to think about how wrong society takes certain actions without know the situation. I know i probably would've made the same accusation though. We should all take this into consideration

ReplyDeleteI blogged about this too! I feel like because more and more of the police screw-ups are happening, police officers may need more training/schooling on the duties of a public officer. The officer should be charged with murder.
