Today, A Navy Yard was the target of another shooting. This has been the 7th shooting since 2009, and the whole idea on Gun Control is still a huge issue. The government has reignited the debate on Gun Control today, and there are plenty of people that have mentioned that with all the shootings in the past 4 years, that things are unlikely to change.
So, I believe that Gun Control should be implemented. I don't mean go into every persons house, and raid there homes for firearms, I mean actually require a license to purchase a weapon. There is also no need to allow the purchase of military grade automatic weapons, such as the AR-15 that was used in the Navy Yard shooting. The person that shot up the Navy Yard had an AR-15 Assault Rifle, a Shotgun, and a Pistol. Shotguns and pistols are fine if used for hunting (With a license), or self defense (Concealed weapon license), but the AR-15 is completely unnecessary. You shouldn't be able to go to your local Wal-Mart, and ask the cashier for an automatic weapon, or even a rifle without and ID required. My theory is that there should be a series of licenses used to have guns, starting with basic pistols, to rifles and shotguns, and maybe slight automatic weapons, such as a STRYK Pistol, but not an Assault Rifle. All of these licenses will naturally have a long weapons safety course (That everyone hates) and any person convicted of a crime involving firearms should have their weapons confiscated. That's my theory on the issue.

I totally agree with you about the gun control! I don't understand why this wasn't already being enforced from the beginning &' there should not be any reason for anyone who isn't in the Armed Forces to have any automatic weapon like the ones used in war..

I agree as well. Seriously, I would not feel safe at someones home with crazy huge guns! Maybe if there was an outbreak of zombies.....
