Daria Harper - 2nd Period "At least 13 dead in Navy Yard shooting, 14 injured"

According to The Washington Post, "At least 13 people are dead and 14 others were injured after a gunman opened fire at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday..." Apparently, there hasn't been an issue in the district this bad since 1982 when 78 people were killed. The suspect, Aaron Alexis, a 34 year old residing in Fort Worth is among the 13 dead. No one knew for sure if the shooter was alone, or if more people were involved.

This article was written by Carol Morello, Peter Hermann and Clarence William. This article was written today, which is interesting because it creates a sense of urgency given the event occurred today. This article was written to inform many people about a serious tragedy; this situation is near and dear to the hearts of many because elf the fact that it involves the killing of so many innocent people. 1. I really wonder what their motivation was for the attack.

  2. What confuses me is that the shooter, Aaron, was known as a non-violent Buddhist by friends. I can't help but wonder what caused the navy reserve member to shoot.
