This article was written by Karine G. Barzegar, who has a very unbiased opinion on the subject matter. This article was produced in France at 5 pm on September 2, 2013. I knew very little about this subject before reading this article, except for the fact that it is currently a rising issue in the US. The audience of this article is people who are, for the most part, already up to speed on the situation. It's important because the ally that was formed was one that was so completely unexpected. To read more go to: http://ux-origin.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/09/02/france-syria-strikes/2754931/

Daria Harper, 2nd Period - "France emerges as unlikely Syria ally for U.S."
Summary - This article explains the importance of the fact that France has become virtually the sole ally of the United States that is a country from Europe. This would not be such a surprising matter if it weren't for the fact that a decade earlier France had a completely different point of view. On Valentine's Day in 2003, the French Foreign Minister said that "taking part in the Iraq War without a U.N. endorsement was not an option for France." There are concerns regarding this move because of worry that it could result in a regional war.

Hi Daria!
ReplyDeleteThis slightly concerns me, because I certainly don't want to see our beloved country go to war with another one of my favorite countries. Hopefully our country's congress and whoever maintains these dealings can work something out
