Arraignment postponed for Marilyn Edge, mother charged in children's deaths

Marilyn Edge was supposed to give her son and daughter to her ex-husband, who lived in Georgia. Instead, she took her children, fled to SoCal, and killed them in a motel. After doing so, she tried to kill herself in a home Depot parking lot, but failed. She is being charged with murder in the first degree. Her arraignment is postponed until October 25 after filing for a plea. If convicted she will face 30 years without the possibility of parole, including counts of kidnapping, committing multiple murder, and murder by poison. Just writing about this story makes me so sad, it so horrendous to read a mother doing this to her own children. While the author tried to stay mutual and simply report, it's difficult to not have a bias, obviously that bias being in favor of the kids and how their father will never see them again. It's a sad article, one that should not be written because these crimes shouldn't be committed.
