Trump says US will withdraw from nuclear arms treaty with Russia -- Mary Kate Madden

This was written October 20, 2018. Trump has said that he is pulling the United States out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty with Russia. This treaty was over 30 years old and it required both countries to stop making certain missiles. However, in 2014, the United States believed that Russia had violated the treaty. Earlier this month, NATO agreed that Russia had broken the treaty, but Russia still denies it.

It is scary to think about MORE tension between the US and Russia, when there is already so much. This relates to the Cold War because this treaty was made to stop tensions between the US and Russia at the time of the Cold War, but I guess it did not work.
