Suspect 37 year old Melvin Rowland was found dead that same evening of a self inflicted  gunshot wound inside a salt like city church. Brophy said that McCluskey had ended her relationship with Rowland on October 9th after she found out that he was a registered sex offender and lied about his age. After he was charged a woman stepped forward and confronted that he had previously sexually assaulted her. Rowland was sent back to prison for parole violations which included the possession of pornography and failed to complete therapy.

Analysis

This story shows that womens rights are still being violated and that when they try to get away from the offender he ends up hurting them more or killing them. This is a serious problem in todays society and really needs to stop.

  1. I wonder why he lied not only about his criminal record but his age. Did he have something to gain?
