A freshman at Butler High School in North Carolina got charged with first- degree murder after he shot a fellow classmate on Monday. The shooting in the hallways of this school did in fact come from bullying and stemmed from a fight between the victim and the suspect. Reports indicate that the tension was built through continuous and spiraling bullying. The shooting happened just before the bell at the school rang to start off a completely normal day that ended up not being normal at all.
It is devastating to hear that a student first action to a bully was to grab a gun. Something like this can be debated between people thinking that guns should be more protected but some believe that that will benefit in no way. It saddens me to hear about the death of that high school. This article also shows how bullying really does impact a persons life... could even cause them not to have a life.
