Youssef Bakr's Commentary on Exclusive Fox News Interview, "McCaskill swipes at Warren, Sanders when asked about 'crazy Democrats'

An unfortunately stunning event has occured in which the incumbent Missouri Democratic Senator, Claire McCaskill, calls out more renowned colleagues, Democratic senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders when asked a question regarding "crazy Democrats." Note that she says she "wouldn't call the two crazy," but makes a point of implying disagreements between them. McCaskill also backed up some of President Trump's "tough talk" on the caravan from Central America whose arrival is imminent. McCaskill also publicly denounced the use of incivility or violence, unlike Hillary Clinton, Corey Booker, Eric Holder or Maxine Waters, who have all called for open harassment or outright assault against right-wingers.

The reason this is schocking to me is because the Democratic party has supported mobs and violence, with almost no one criticizing it. McCaskill's speaking out against her fellow Democrats is virtually unprecedented in recent years.

This reminds me of the Constitutional Convention, in which those with differing ideologies did not resort to violence to try to silence the political adversary.

  1. To be honest I just want to know when conservatives will acknowledge the fact that white supremacists support them. I mean, ok you can condemn violence and incivility all you want but how long are politicians going to beat around the bush before they say that they don't support neo nazis. I'm also curious to know the "mobs and violence" you're referring to because you provided no examples. I would love some citations regarding how the people you've named have called for harassment and assault against the right as well. To me, you're making a bunch of blanket statements to distract from the fact that there are literally groups of white supremacists that call themselves conservatives. What are your thoughts on that?

    1. Well, if you can surprise me by finding any groups of white supremacists, neo-nazis or other racist, bigoted groups that call themselves conservative AND adhere to the ideologies of 21st century conservatism, then I will acknowledge what you have presented. But judging by the death threats sent to mainstream conservatives such as Ben Shapiro and inherent evil of these lots, they're absolutely not conservative.

You asked "How long are politicians going to beat around the bush before they say they don't support neo-nazis?" They already have: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/08/14/trump-denounces-kkk-neo-nazis-as-justice-department-launches-civil-rights-probe-into-charlottesville-death/?utm_term=.7abf298b3aea. Granted, Trump took far too long to say this after Charlottesville, but you asked, with what I interpreted as hinting that 1) they haven't and 2) they condone racist iedology.

One of the mobs and I'm referring to is when protestors stormed the steps of the Supreme Court and slammed on doors and such. Another is when a group of about 150 leftists attacked a small group of conservative students at UT. Another is when Secretary of Homeland Security, Kirtsjen Nielsen, was driven out of a restaurant, and later surrounded by screaming people outside of her house. And the countless Antifa mobs that have plagued the country. How is that for examples?
I've provided links to videos of those people inciting violence in my response to Mrs. Countryman's comment.

My thoughts on your last sentence are that I'm not making any blanket statements and I have no idea where you got that from. I am neither denying not distracting from the fact that there are, indeed, these white supremacists and neo-nazis; however, there is no reason to believe they are large in number or are really a serious threat to America. They're some of the sorest groups of losers in the world and pretty lame, to be honest.

  2. When did Hillary Clinton, Corey Booker, Eric Holder, or Maxine Waters call for open harassment? I don’t remember that happening. I want to understand your side with more evidence.

    1. They haven't. Except maybe Maxine Waters, but nothing compared to an assasination attempt like sending out bombs. Watch out for Fake News.

    2. Eric Holder said, "Michelle Obama... says, 'When they go low, we go high.' When they go low, we kick 'em." Do you want some evidence? Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afuqjoBigbc

Hillary Clinton said "We cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for." Video evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3oDC-8YuhQ

Corey Booker pleaded for his supporters to "That is my call to action... get up in the face of some congresspeople." Here's him saying that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYsh1G4B92Y
