McDonald's Hero
A father who was armed had just possibly stopped a shooting in a Mc Donald's restaurant. As the father was leaving the restaurant with his two sons, a masked man walked into the Mc Donald's and began shooting. The father returned shots at the masked man leading to the father and one of his sons being shot, as well as the masked man who died from his injuries. The father and son's injuries were not life threatening and they made it out fine. The historical context in this is mainly about the second amendment and how it is a controversial topic. How it could be good and bad. Some would say if guns were banned this would've never happened, but guns are traded on the black market all the time.Other arguments would say because of this amendment the father saved the day.-Khai
I see how this could fall to either side of the story about gun violence and gun law decisions. Some people may believe that guns being banned would make a difference but others see it as not even changing anything when there still will be guns out there that can hurt others. This man was courageous, but did it test any amendments?

ReplyDeleteI fall to the side of we need the second amendment. The man who returned shot was a hero and saved all those people can do that only because he has permission to own and carry a gun. You know the man that shot wouldn't care if its legal he would have had an unregistered firearm anyways. GRAYSON DECKER
ReplyDeleteAlthough this story did spark a questioning of our second amendment we should remember that this man is a hero for what he did.
