Summary: Some early votes have noticed that voting machines flipped their selections, when they tried to vote straight-ticket, including in the state's Senate race. Voters reported these issues with Hart eSlate machines, used in 30% of Texas counties. People from both major political parties have experienced this. But, the secretary of state's office, however, said the mishaps were due to user error. An election administration in Fort Bend County told the Houston ABC affiliate, KTRK-TV, that he had reported the issue years ago to the secretary of state's office but hadn't seen a remedy.

Analysis: This article was written on the 26th by Claire Hansen, made after early voting thing year and has info from earlier years. I heard about this happening on the news before. I can connect this event to federalists and democratic-republicans constantly blaming eachother. This article was written for these early voters and young people like me so when we turn 18, the legal age to vote, we don't make the same mistakes. This article was written to clarify that the voters were at fault for these switchings. This article is important because it was made to soothe the blaming on the major political parties.
I think that we should not allow machines to do the counting because they could easily get hacked.
