Around 93% of children in the world (under the age of 15 years old) are breathing the most unhealthy and bad air filled with pollution which puts their health at dangerous risk. In 2016, 600,00 children were estimated to have died from breathing in the polluted air which caused acute lower respiratory infections. Air pollution is one of the leading threats to health in kids under the age of 5 accounting for almost one in ten deaths. This deadly pollution also affects development and cognitive ability and can trigger asthma and childhood cancer.
I believe that this is such a disgusting thing thinking that our future generations will be living in even greater amounts of pollution in the air. No child should have their lives taken away because of the thing they need to stay alive is not clean enough for them. The fact that this pollution causes cancer and asthma is very disappointing.
