Kanye West was on Saturday Night Live and gave a speech after his last performance (not caught on air) about how he was "bullied" for wanting to perform in a MAGA hat. He then went on to make a tweet where he was wearing a MAGA hat on his private jet saying that "Make America Great Again" stands for something good and that we will no longer outsource to other countries, build factories and create jobs in America, provide jobs for those in prisons, and abolish the 13th amendment.
Though I do truly believe Kanye is a lost soul and he needs to do research before spewing his opinion, I think he was trying to say that the 13th amendment needs to be reformed. There is a part of the 13th amendment that says black people are not free if they are imprisoned, and I believe he was trying to make a connection to what he was saying about providing jobs for imprisoned people. Nonetheless he is still ignorant, and it's very strange that he supports the rights of imprisoned people while also liking Donald Trump. It's really sad to see someone that's so talented become so lost. As I watched him perform Ghost Town on Saturday Night Live in a MAGA hat it really made me emotional. To see someone who's such a good performer and someone who creates such beautiful music becoming his own worse enemy was really sad to watch.

I also did this topic. I love this because it is so relevant and important since he has such a major impact on the younger audience, its important that he thinks about his message and how he says it. I agree with you're analysis he had the right idea just poor wording.
