Caravan gets closer to the U.S.- Madison Malonson

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/22/americas/mexico-migrant-caravan/index.html

Thousands of people are making their way to the U.S.  through Mexico. Most are walking by foot, but some of the lucky ones hitched a ride, and piles up in a small truck. We do not know if Mexico will interfere and stop the Caravan or if the U.S. will block them from coming in. All we really know is that approximately 7,000 people are traveling for miles on end with no shelter and not very much food. But, traveling with the Caravan is their safest bet, if they were to travel alone on even in small groups, they would be susceptible to violence from cartels and gangs.
I think it is really sad what these people are going through. They are just trying to find a better life for them and their children, it is a shame so many people are against it. This sort of relates to the Trail of Tears in a way. Obviously the two groups were traveling for different reasons, but they both traveled far distances and didn't necessarily want to, but they had to.
