NASA is Keeping Tabs on Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster

Summary: NASA is now tracking the Tesla Roadster that was launched by SpaceX last Tuesday. They are tracking it so they don't end up categorizing it as a new asteroid if it shows up later. The Tesla has its own data entry in Horizons. Horizons is a database run by a group at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The Tesla is listed as object-143205 SpaceX Roadster.
Analysis: I find it funny that Elon Musk added his own Tesla just for the sheer enjoyment or laugh of having a Tesla in space. Also the fact that it is now being tracked and watched by NASA. This article is related to US History because space travel was achieved in the 1970's as a result research has been continually conducted up to this point where space travel to Mars is the next goal for both NASA and SpaceX.

Elon Musk can make anything possible to the point where he sends one of his own cars in to space. I am curious to see what research the roadster sends back to Earth in the future
