Summary: Trump and many others advocating rights for guns all share one common defense for them, which happens to be a lie: that all gun violence stems from those who are insane. However, in this article a recent, tragic event shows otherwise, a NYPD sergeant named Hugh Barry, shot a 66 year old schizophrenic woman. As opposed to using his tazer, her "disturbance" was worthy of her death??? So, in conclusion, this fear through stereotype is inaccurate and just a coverup for the actual problem our nation is faced with. |
Analysis: Gun violence is a very serious issue that our nation is facing and can not simply be brushed off by Trump's inadequate excuses. This is a much more serious issue and is not stemmed solely from one singular group of people. Many protests and student activists have arose. Trump's perspective kind of reminds me of the Sacco and Vanzetti trial. Weird, but they did blame a bigger issue on a singular group of people. |
