In this article, the writer analyzes the effectiveness and importance of the youth protests and outcry over gun control following the Parkland shooting. We, as experiencing innovation in technology and using it to our advantage, are more capable at organizing than any movement, as seen in the Black Lives Matter movement and the Women's March.
We also, since we do not have full time jobs, have time and more passion to use our voices because it will be us hit in the crossfire.
One can synthesize this youth involvement in today's political actions to the youth involvement in the Civil Rights movement (Claudette Colvin) and involvement in the Arab Spring.
I hope that the young voices in Generation Z are able to inundate the political world for longer to make actual political change, not the constant scapegoating of mental illness.
