Police in Atlanta are looking for an Uber Eats driver who allegedly killed a customer during a nighttime delivery.
The Atlanta PD confirmed to the source I used that officers responded to a call stating the shooting of a person shot in north Atlanta on Saturday, Feb. 16, around 11:30 p.m. Witnesses later told Investigators that the victim left his apartment complex to meet an UE delivery person outside, took his food order, and started walking away from the delivery vehicle.
Some words were exchanged between the victim and the driver as the man walked back toward his apartment. The driver then fired several shots from his car, shooting the victim multiple times. The driver, whose name is still unknown, fled the scene in a white Volkswagen.
The victim was immediately transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made yet, and Uber had said little about the incident other than condolences to the family of the man who's life was take.
This is crazy, I've used Uber eats and I never really think about the safety hazards of it. My heart goes out to the victims family.
ReplyDeleteI never trusted Uber anyway. This story alone doesn't help my case.
ReplyDelete.
ReplyDeleteThis is awful!! I have never used uber before, and stories like this make me want to NEVER use uber. Also, the fact that uber has not said much about the incident is a little bit upsetting. Uber should do more than apoligize. It needs to come up with a plan (and annouce it) that will prevent incidents such as this from happening again.
