- U.S. gun manufacturers produced over 11 million firearms last year, supposedly fueled by the fear of a Hillary Clinton presidency. In fact, the sale of guns doubled during Obama's presidency. The “threat” of gun control left many NRA members flocking to gun and ammunition stores. Before the election of Trump, many manufacturers increased production, because of the possible increased demand. When he won, the demand for firearms diminished, and current prices are significantly lower.
- The drop in gun prices because of less demand is similar to the drop in cotton prices after a similar overproduction. On a more personal note, why more guns? No more, we don’t need more guns, i mean gun bans have worked in plenty of other countries, so why not ours???
