Lawmakers vote no to consider a ban on semi-automatic weapons
Since the shooting at the school in Florida many kids a upset that there still hasn’t been any changes to having, getting, and owning guns. Kids walked out of school in protest of this and some even went to the legislative. But it’s sad to hear that 71-36 voted against a measure to consider a ban on semi- automatic weapons. Lawmakers did however declare that pornography is a health risk. Many of the students were upset and sickened by the vote. Even kids that were pro-gun now take a step back and see that there needs to be measurements to guns.
I believe that there should be stronger measurements to get and own a gun if we don’t ban them. Guns are just easy to access and are used for more bad than good now in days. Personally I believe the only people who need guns or have them are the military. I understand the right to protect yourself but there are other ways to do that and if no one had a gun then there really wouldn’t be protection from others with guns. But we live in a country where people choose to not even a option to try to do something about it.
