Larry Nassar's 73 Words

Before Larry Nassar was sentenced to a lifetime of imprisonment, he spoke 73 words apologizing to the court for his actions. He said, "The words expressed by everyone that has spoken, including the parents, have impacted me to the -- to my innermost core. "With that being said, I understand and acknowledge that it pales in comparison to the pain, trauma and emotions that you all are feeling.
"It's impossible to convey the depth and breadth of how sorry I am to each and every one involved. "The visions of your testimonies will forever be present in my thoughts."

I am so happy that justice is finally being served. This man has been abusing women for up to two decades. They were told to trust him, and were betrayed, now their voices are being heard. It's amazing to see all these strong women stand up for themselves, as they have been silent for so long. It takes a lot of courage to do what they did, even if it didn't come out right away, these women are so courageous. Nassar deserves his sentencing, and to have the visions of the testimonies haunt him.

  1. I agree that he deserves to go to prison. It is very sad that he abused women for 2 decades.

  2. I had to look up articles to learn more about this on CNN. I can't express how sad I am for all these women who were abused by a man who stated that he used his power as a medical authority to take advantage of them.
