In Olympics news, a Russian Curler, Alexander Krushelnitsky failed a performance enhancing drug test shortly after winning a bronze medal in his sport.
The biggest question here is, of all the sports one could dope to be better at, why curling? Call me a novice, but it seems to be a game of using brooms to make little rocks go fast on the ice, but not TOO fast! There is no real strength or agility required, and, in fact, the US player has quite a dad bod going on and he does just fine.
This incident has caused the entire curling community to be embroiled in scandal, and has brought further shame on the russian olympic team.
As we know, Russia has been barred from competing in this years olympics because they just couldn't stop using performance enhancing drugs. This has resulted in a serious blow to Russian attendance at this years games. Who knew that extended into CURLING!
During the Cold War, rumors abounded of east german women being forced to dope with startling physical consequences.
I was wondering why there were barely any Russian athletes in this years Winter Olympics. Also that very bottom part is horrible.
ReplyDeleteI also find his choice to do drugs to enhance his curling odd....
