Kentucky School Shooting- Peyton Gatewood

Bailey died Tuesday at Marshall County High School in Benton. Another 15-year-old, Preston Cope, died at a hospital.
By the end of the rampage, 16 other people had been shot -- including Bailey's  boyfriend, who was shot in the face but survived. The suspect -- who has been charged with two counts of murder and 12 counts of first-degree assault -- made his first court appearance on Thursday morning, Marshall County Assistant Attorney Jason Darnall said.
Authorities have not named the suspect because he is a juvenile.
My hot take: I like that Justin Trudeau, Canada's Prime Minister, adressed the shooting before Mr. Trump (a few hours after) while it took our President nearly 24 hours. We know he loves twitter, so why couldn't he send a quick tweet and follow up later? It would take less than thirty seconds...  Here are some tweets of Trump between the shooting and his tweet addressing it:
"Cryin’ Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that if there is no Wall, there is no DACA. We must have safety and security, together with a strong Military, for our great people!"
"Where are the 50,000 important text messages between FBI lovers Lisa Page and Peter Strzok? Blaming Samsung!"
"Tremendous investment by companies from all over the world being made in America. There has never been anything like it. Now Disney, J.P. Morgan Chase and many others. Massive Regulation Reduction and Tax Cuts are making us a powerhouse again. Long way to go! Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!"
Hmmm. Ok. This was the 18th US Mass Shooting of the new year.. it was January 24.
I find it annoying that the shooter's information has not been released due to him being sixteen. I find it appalling that two 15 year old were shot dead (and many more wounded) and our President could not be bothered. A boy was shot in the face. This isn't just a shooting- it's a symbol of the state of our country. Call me crazy, but I feel that Donald Trump is NOT a very stable genius.

  1. It's not just the president, it seems, congress has repeatedly vetoed and dismissed any bill that's tried to enact gun control. Two clarifications, however, should be made to the people and congress members who don't believe in gun control: the first being that gun control does NOT mean removal of all guns, the second being that 'people kill people not guns' is as persuasive as saying 'people kill people not drunk driving'. Check the facts and statistics, the right to bare arms is justifiable, but murder is not.

  2. This is disgusting. I feel that Trump isn't taking shootings like this seriously, maybe he should take action and pass legislation to prevent an awful thing like this happening in the future.
