A military helicopter surveying an earthquake area crashed Friday night, killing 13 people and injuring 15 others. No one inside the helicopter died, but 3 children and 10 others were killed after the helicopter crashed into them. The crash took place in Oaxaca, Mexico. The helicopter was carrying the governor of the Mexican state as well as other government and military officials. The president of Mexico tweeted out his condolences soon after the crash.

This would be a devastating thing to happen to anyone. My thoughts go out to the families of the people who lost their lives in the crash. I just hope that nothing like this happens again.

This reminds me of the Hindenburg crash in the 1930s. Although that was on a much larger scale, they're still both air vehicle crashes were people lost their lives. I hope we can find a way to make air travel safer in the future.
