A family of 23 people were taken off of a Carnival cruise ship in Australia. The family was removed because they were starting fights and violent brawls while on board the ship. A video showed members of the family fighting with other passengers and being separated using force from the people they were fighting. Also in the video, security officers were shown kicking passengers, Carnival said in a statement that those "actions seen on the video by our security team are not in line with our Carnival values and policies." The 10 day cruise was cut short and docked in the south pacific after the 23 passengers caused a lot of trouble. Carnival said they would give 25% off to passengers that were targeted in the fights and that they "sincerely regret" the unruly conducts of the family members.
I think it's crazy that an entire cruise ship had to be stopped because the fights were so bad. I also feel bad fro anyone that was dragged into a fight with one of the 23 people that were starting the fights. I hope Carnival is able to come back from this PR nightmare.
Cruise ships are often places for bad things to happen. A few years ago a cruise ship stalled in the middle of the ocean and all of the electricity and plumbing stopped working.
