A bomb from world war II was discovered in the Thames River near London City Airport on Sunday. The airport immediately closed down because of the threat of the un-exploded bomb. London Police, as well as the Royal Navy were sent to examine and safely extract the bomb. There were a few slight problems removing the bomb because of the tides at the time. The police and royal navy hoped to have the bomb removed and the airport reopened by Tuesday.
I think it would be a really stressful thing to have your flight delayed by a bomb. I also think the airport and the police and navy handled the situation very well and had all of the passengers' best interests in mind.
This reminds me of one of the first articles i chose for current events about an un-exploded bomb found in France. Ever since world war II un-detonated bombs have been found all of Europe and can usually be very safely removed.
This is great! I love the synthesis!
