Current Event-Ellen Whitehead

On Saturday, and UberEats driver shot and killed his customer. Witnesses have said that they saw 30 year-old Ryan Thornton, leave his apartment building to retrieve his order and that when we walked away from the car, words were exchanged and that is when gunshots were heard. The victim Robert Bivines turned himself in today, after a warrant for his arrest was issued. Bivines claims that he shot Thornton out of self defense, as he saw Thornton turn around and reach in his pocket. It is unknown whether that is true or not. I think that it is scary that and UberEats driver had a gun with him in the first place, defying company policy. My family have never used services like this and I am glad. It is important to be cautious when using services like this because you never know who is serving you.
