This article explains how in the days following the massacre in florida, and due to the outcry of students for safety when they go to school, Trump has made a tentative step towards harsher restrictions on guns. It's interesting to see someone so vehemently right even give a little bit onto an idea that is left in nature. The current plan is to increase the background check database, and improve checkups on gun owners. The article also goes into the fact that this kind of stuff tends to be talked about then fizzle out, but the youth of America is demanding action.
     I think it's great to finally see the discussion shift from vague comments about mental illness in America to actual real gun control, because in all honesty people have been saying mental illness needs to be addressed for years and we still end up with a new massacre every other week. I think this is a step in the  right direction, but a tiny tiny baby step, so much more ground needs to be covered on this issue.
