As Seas Warm, Whales Face New Dangers
Humpback whales are faced with harmful fishing and global warming. Over 50 died this past 19 months due to fishing boats/ nets. These whales are being forced into new waters due to their feeding grounds being disturbed and prefer colder waters. I believe that there needs to be special precautions to avoid harming endangered animals. Especially because humans are the main reason their environment was disrupted, we should be taking this very seriously.
The human population is growing at a rapid rate, the uppermost population limit is 10 billion. Currently we are 7.5 billion and our predicted to reach 11.2 billion by 2100. These statstics lead me to believe that fishing boats/nets are disturbing whales feeding grounds due to such a high demand for seafood/fish due to there being "so many mouth's to feed". Sooner or later whales could possibly go extinct due to global warming or our massive human population oblitatarting there feeding grounds.
ReplyDeleteThis is awful. I definitely agree with the fact that precautions need to be taken. Humans are making such a big (negative) impact on the homes of plants and animals, and this needs to change. Situations similar to the humpback whales are happening everywhere, and we need to be taking more precautions.
ReplyDeleteHuman interference with literally everything is ketting pretty gross. Is there something we DON'T want?
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible. When are human gonna realize the value of the ocean and that we need to protect it before it gone. Guess we won’t understand till it is actually gone.
