Summary: In Mexico City on Tuesday afternoon an earthquake that registered a preliminary magnitude of 7.1 hit. The earthquake demolished many schools along with large buildings. Parents were lining out around where the schools used to be praying that their kids were okay while others were screaming at the sight of their children. When buildings fell many cars became crushed along with trapping people in the mess. Many people were pronounced dead at the scene.

This article was written by Kirk Semple, Paulina Villegas, and Elisabeth Malkin on September 19, 2017 by New York Times. This article was addressed to people around Mexico and just around the world to let people know what's going on and how bad it was.
