NFL Protest -Adriann Wrice

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/01/us/nfl-protests/index.html
As we all may or may not know, the NFL is a bit controversial topic right know concerning some of its players protesting the national anthem. Also many players are protesting President Trumps fine words that the NFL should  “fire any son of a bleep who disrespects our flag.”
The article describes the story of single players like Cam Newton from the Carolina Panthers and whole teams like the baltimore ravens standing up to the racism and opression in our nation.
Many players are not doing this as disprect to the people who fought for our flag but to this racism that people are trying to hide behind the great United States. This article was written to explain to those who are confused just what this means to the people being oppressed in our nation. Eliott C. McLaughlin and Darran Simon, CNN show in great detail how many teams across the world are protesting the hatred . To me, this is extremely brave and moving because sometimes people of color like to ignore the hard troubles and just focus on what’s bringing in their paycheck, but for this men to put their foot down and stand up for their beliefs. I think this is really important especially with everything that is happening in the world today because slot of people like to not acknowledge the racism in the world. For the African Americans to protest in a dominantly white area is mind blowingly amazing to me. I know that racism didn’t start with slavery and isn’t going to stop with NFL protest but it is reassuring to see unordinary people trying.

  2. People need to understand that players aren't protesting the national anthem, they're protesting everything our country is supposed to stand for but doesn't. Our president shouldn't be worrying about PEACEFUL protesting, he should be worrying about everything going wrong in our world right now.

  3. Our president needs to realize that people have a right to protest in a peaceful way. The players have a message they want to get across and there are way more important things our President of the United States should be worried about.
