Police Brutality in Chicago
Police brutality has been a long ignored issue all over America, specifically regarding African Americans and other minorities. According to a recent study in the city of Chicago; 404 people have been shot and killed by the Chicago police Department, 74% of these victims were African American, 14% were Hispanic and only 8% white or Anglo Saxon (+.25% were Asian American). Many say that police have "no regard" for the lives they've taken. Efforts to reduce brutality have increased through riots and peaceful revolutions alike.

Damn. People say racism is over but that's just straight up bullshit.

Hate police brutality and it's such a big issue in this country. Many people look over it like it's nothing and that the "police are just doing their job" and I completely disagree with that statement in these cases. Yes, there are many police who do their job properly and don't abuse their authority and I appreciate those officers dearly. However the others that do abuse their power and it's just so unfortunate. So many young black boys are treated more like problems than they are people.
