Shedhada Khalil Issa, 69, was charged with using a shotgun in the premeditated murder of his son, Amir Issa, 38. The mother also was found dead inside the family home in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. She was stabbed multiple times, however, her death is still under investigation. The son was allegedly shot outside the house and had multiple gunshot wounds. The father threatened repeatedly to kill his son because he was gay.
This is very sad to hear that a man would shoot his son because he was gay. As a country, we are now excepting the LGBT community more and more everyday and it is awful to see that becasue a man was gay, his father shot him.

Why was the 38 year old at his parents house if he knew his father was a threat? I would have found a house far away quickly after entering adulthood.
ReplyDeleteI think the comment above is missing the point of the article, maybe he didn't know his father was a threat and who said he was still living with them, maybe he was visiting.
ReplyDeletePutting that aside, I still find it hard to believe that some parents still aren't able to accept their own children for who they are. I, personally, feel that loving your child despite their sexuality is already a given for parents so when I hear about incidents like this it makes me question the morals of some people.
