an 11 year old was initially charged with manslaughter but the charges were later dropped when he was declared disabled. the 11 year old got the gun from his father's closet, threw it out the window and then got in a car with a gun. then the 3 year old followed him and was later found dead with a bullet in his head. the 11 year old was convicted of manslaughter and charged with felony firearm charges. after the charges were dropped the 11 year old's father was charged with involuntary manslaughter
this child could have still been alive today if the gun wasn't so easy to get to. in my opinion the 11 year old didnt understand the gravity of what a gun really is. i believe that this is the parent's fault for leaving the gun to be so accessible to the child. also why weren't the parents of the 3 year old watching him at the time? this entire ordeal could have been avoided if there was more control on the weapon from the parents' side of things. this is similar to the discussion of how intense gun control should be in america.
