Relations with Cuba // Kai Jones 1st period

Though the U.S and Cuba are finally starting to have better relations, there are still some things that are slowing down this process. There are six big issues that need to be addressed before the U.S and Cuba can make amends. Human rights, The embargo, Guantanamo bay, Cuban Adjustment Act, Media, and International relations are all things that must be taken care of before the u.s and Cuba can reconnect as discussed in this article.

It will be a while before the U.S will be able to trade with Cuba again. It is believed to be a task for the next president of the United States. Tensions will hopefully be relieved in the future as we focus on closing guantanamo bay and solving the other issues that persist. We now have a new hope to solve these problems.

  1. Matthew Homsher 9th- Obama has made a great start by stopping the embargo and closing Guantanamo, but I agree that we still have a long way to go before things are back to normal.
