Lincoln Anthony (8th Period)-"Alaska volcano ash cloud covers 400 miles"

Recently, one of the most active volcanoes in Alaska, Mount Pavlof, erupted. The area around it for four hundred miles was covered in a thick blanket of ash from the eruption. This has caused all flights in a quite significant area in Alaska to be cancelled. It was a pretty big one.

Mount Pavlof. . . has erupted! Mama mia! I feel like if the eruption was somewhere where more than two guys and a moose lived we would have another Mount Vesuvius situation on our hands here. I mean I guess it also stopped all air traffic in the area so that's kind of a big thing as well. Like Jesus Christ. On a bike. This was, indeed, a fairly big one. Mama mia.

  1. Nature is nature, you cant do anything to prevent what it does or when it does it

  2. It is not very often that you hear about a volcanic eruption in the United States, and I am surprised that this story has not be talked about more. I hope that everyone in that area is okay, and that no one was too drastically effected by the air travel cancelations.
