A small organization of the Pakistani Taliban has taken full responsibility of an attack this Sunday evening. This deadly attack was initially targeted at Christians and took place on Easter Sunday. Killing about 67 people in eastern Pakistan city of Lahore. Also more than 300 people were injured from this attack. This attack was an explosion that happened in the city's Gulshan Iqbal Park where most families were out celebrating Easter. Many victims from this explosion were women and children. A Pakistani Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz, strongly condemned the attack. Also another member of the Pakistani Taliban, Ehsanullah Ehsan, said that these attacks would continue.
This event reminds me of the Holocaust. The Holocaust singled out primarily one group, the Jewish, and tried to exterminate the group. The leader of the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler. This event by the Pakistani Taliban only killed approximately 67 people as the Holocaust killed close to 7 million people. It is sad to think that we live in a world where people are not accepting of diversity of culture and population. I think that if our world was made up of the same people, it would be boring and too uniform.
